Meet Brenda [portraits]

Meet Brenda. A creative, fun, passionate freelance writer who “specializes in helping aspiring authors get their ideas to print.”

A few weeks back, she and I had a blast hanging out around Park Circle taking some portraits for her new website, which I’m excited to share with you!

LCCS [school portraits]

We met up with the kids of the Lowcountry Christian Community School and were honored to take their school portraits. LCCS is a small school where the kids meet a few days a week as a group, and are home-schooled the other days. Jenna and I have never met a group of kids with such great, captivating personalities! We think – hope – the pictures show a little of those personalities!

Our original plan was to meet outside somewhere where the kids could play and feel more comfortable, but the weather simply didn’t allow it! We decided to go to Plan B instead of rescheduling, as trying to re-coordinate and line up another time that worked with everyone would have been difficult. We all were a little skeptical, with the cold weather and the rain, but the pictures turned out fantastic!

Special ‘thanks’ to Sally for setting everything up and coordinating it all! We couldn’t have done it without you!

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School

Last week we partnered with Big Gnome to be part of a project at St. Anthony’s Catholic School. Big Gnome is a Creative Communications company who is revamping St. Anthony’s website and asked us to help capture the heart and soul of the school through photography. It was our pleasure!

Matt and I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out at St. Anthony’s (STA) for a couple of days! The smiles around there were surely contagious! The kids were absolutely precious, and we especially enjoyed the fact that they treated us like we were celebrities. The school is located in downtown Greenville and has quite a diverse population. The majority of the kids are there on scholarship, and one of the reasons we were hired was to help raise awareness so the folks at STA can keep changing kids’ lives through education!

So a big thank you to Nicole at Big Gnome and the school family at STA for this awesome opportunity! We love what we do!
